Scarborough Athletic U16 vs HD Select
Scarborough Athletic U16 travelled away to face HD Select on a Saturday morning. The game itself was played in four twenty-minute periods.
Both teams started the game brightly, but it was Scarborough who took control early on with chances from Oliver Wilson and Ethan Smith saved by the HD keeper.
Two twenty-minute periods passed by with both teams unable to get on the scoresheet.
In the third period, Smith was sin-binned for 8 minutes for dissent and this gave HD the advantage they had been looking for taking a 2-0 lead with two goals in quick succession.
In the last period Borough suffered heavily from fatigue as they had worked so hard in the previous three. The result of this was HD were able to grab some simple goals meaning the final score was 5-0 to the home side.
Positives were to be taken away from the game for Borough however as they were able to hold a tough opposition for most of the game.
